Frequently asked questions
How do I care for my jewellery?
The short answer is, to wear it lots!
can tarnish when exposed to certain atmoshpreres and chemicals.
To avoid this, remove your jewellery before using perfume, body lotions, and suncream ect, and when dipping into swimming pools.
The best place to keep it when not wearing, is in it's box or pouch it arrived in, or a sealed zip lock bag. If left to sit in the open air, it will most certainly begin to tarnish within a few days.
Tarnishing only affects the surface of the silver, so if this happens to you, have no fear! There are ways to clean it off.
Our top tip for cleaning jewellery; silver polishing cloths!
These are gentle but very effective cleaning cloths that we couldn't live without. Definitely a good investment for silver jewellery owners!
Another is to use fairy liquid on an old toothbrush, if you jewellery has some nooks and crannys to get into.
We do offer a thorough cleaning and refresh service, to remove any strong tarishing and add some extra shine, at a starting cost of £15, please get in touch if you'd like to enquire about having a piece professionally cleaned.
Do you make bespoke pieces?
Yes! We've made hundreds of custom pieces over the years, and it's still one of our favourite and most rewarding elements to what we do. To make our customers ideas come alive in silver and gold, to make something that's one of a kind.
No matter how far along your ideas for a piece of jewellery, we can work with you, drawing sketches and making sample pieces to come up with the perfect design.
If you would like to have a bespoke piece of jewellery made, please get in touch via our contact form or email firstname.lastname@example.org, and let us know what you'd like us to create :)
How to I care for my silver spoon?
Our silver spoons are made to be loved and used! Regualar use and cleaning will keep your spoon looking beautiful.
They are dishwasher safe, however they don't love being in contact with nickle silver, so it's good to keep them separate from plated cuttlery.
Spoons with pearls set in the handles, should only be washed by hand, in your usual hot and soapy water.
Silver polishing cloths are brilliant at adding a little extra shine.
Do you recycle jewellery?
Yes, and it's become a large part of what we do!
We transform broken, unworn & sentimental gold and gemstone jewellery, into bespoke designs that you will want to wear everyday.
Giving this valuable material new life and meaning that reflects you.
Prices for upcycling varies from project to project, the best way to enquire is send us an email with photogrpahs of the gold that you're thinking of having upcycled, and any design ideas you may have. We can let you know what's possible and the likely cost.
What's my ring size?
The best way to find out your size, is to be measured in a jewellery shop, maybe even two, as sizes can vary slightly depending on where you go.
Since jewellery shops are closed for the moment, to find your size we can send you an adjustable ring sizer that you can use at home.
Search Muiltisizer, or find it in the Ring section of our site, for £1.20. If you are just buying a ring sizer, make sure to select Multisizer Free Post at the checkout.
